Update on British Eventing Training and Education (29 June 2020)
As British Eventing continues to review all areas of the business, and financial management remaining a key focus for the long-term future of the organisation, we wanted to update you on some key changes to the BE Training & Education (T&E) offering.
Following careful consideration, the Board have agreed, as we focus on delivering the core sport and returning to competition, that BE T&E will no longer be providing the same extensive range of training courses. The decision also takes into consideration feedback from the annual survey; for example, members have consistently stated that, although they are aware of our training offering, the majority chose not to take it up as they prefer to train with their own coach.
We will continue to provide training for our officials and volunteers. Work will also continue with our Youth Coordinators to facilitate training under the Regional Youth Programme, that continues to be well-supported.
We are very proud of the high-quality training and education that we have provided to members and non-members since the inception of T&E in 2012 and the changes have not been made lightly. We would like to thank our team of dedicated Regional Training and Education Administrators who will be leaving BE at the end of July. We would also like to thank our Coaches and Coordinators for all their hard work.
