Volunteers

British Eventing greatly values the work of all of our volunteers – the sport simply couldn’t survive without them. For this reason, all of our volunteer training courses are completely free. From our Jump Forward Programme for young people interested in volunteering to our Access All Areas dates, we have many courses available to choose from.

Volunteering with BE

What role is for me?

There are many ways to volunteer in the sport, with multiple roles available in some of the most stunning locations across the UK. With positions including fence judging, dressage writing, score collecting, scoring, marshalling, stewarding, being an entries secretary or doing the all-important tea run, there's something for everyone - find out more about what each role involves and whether it might be the right fit for you!

Young Equestrian Leaders Award

The Young Equestrian Leaders Award recognises young people who volunteer in equestrian sports. Whether you help at your local riding school or give your name to a horsey charity such as the Riding for the Disabled Association, you can get your volunteering recognised and rewarded by the British Equestrian Federation and Sport England.
